The last day of school for the 2011-12 school year has been moved from June 5 to June 7, 2012. Please mark your calendars accordingly. |
Announcements Circle Maps Circle Maps are given as homework to help students learn the vocabulary necessary to understand social studies. In the center of the circle, we write the term. To the left of the term is the definition. To the right of the term is a picture or symbol drawn by the student.
Above the term, the student copies a sentence from the book, with the vocabulary word included in the sentence. Below the term, the student writes a sentence of his or her own using the term. IF A STUDENT DOES THE ASSIGNED CIRCLE MAPS, HE OR SHE WILL ALSO GET A HIGH SCORE ON THE VOCABULARY QUIZZES GIVEN THE NEXT DAY. THE POINTS ASSIGNED FOR DOING THE CIRCLE MAPS CAN ADD UP QUICKLY. PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENT TO STAY CURRENT WITH HOMEWORK. Discussion Topics Files No "Files" exist(s) |
